Accessibility statement

Last updated: 6 September 2026. This is an honest starter statement for a newly built site. It should be kept up to date as the site is tested and improved.

Commitment

This website is intended to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use keyboards, screen readers, zoom, and reduced motion settings. The aim is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. That aim is not a claim that every page has been independently audited.

What should already work

• A skip link to the main content
• Semantic headings and landmarks
• Visible focus styles
• Text that can be resized in the browser
• Colour contrast chosen for body text and primary buttons
• Reduced-motion respected for decorative animation
• Forms with labels and status messages

Known limits

• Third-party booking on The Richmond House Clinic is outside this site’s control.
• Newsletter and enquiry forms only submit if an endpoint is configured; otherwise they show a fallback message.
• Some Journal posts include long reference lists that may be dense for screen-reader users.
• A full assistive-technology audit has not yet been commissioned.
