Who I am
I am Dr Amy Shacaluga, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Lifestyle Medicine Physician. This website (www.dramyshacaluga.co.uk) provides information about my private women's health practice and educational content.

This notice explains how I handle personal data collected via this website (for example contact forms, newsletter sign-ups, or messages you send me).
Private clinical care and appointment booking are arranged throughThe Richmond House Clinic. Their systems and privacy practices apply to booking and clinical records held by the clinic. Please also read any privacy information they provide when you book.
What data I collect
Depending on how you contact me, I may collect:
- Name and contact details (email, phone)
- Organisation and enquiry details, for industry messages
- Newsletter email address, if you subscribe
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, where hosting or analytics tools are used
I do not ask you to send sensitive medical details through general website forms. If you choose to include health information in a message, I will treat it confidentially and only use it to respond appropriately.
Why I use your data (lawful bases)
- To respond to enquiries and provide information you requested (legitimate interests / steps prior to a contract)
- To manage newsletter or waitlist subscriptions, if you opt in (consent: you can unsubscribe at any time)
- To operate and secure the website (legitimate interests)
- Where required by law (legal obligation)
Who I share data with
I use trusted service providers who process data on my behalf, such as:
- Website hosting and related tools
- Email or newsletter providers, if a list is connected
- The Richmond House Clinic, when your enquiry relates to booking or clinical care
I do not sell your personal data.
How long I keep data
- Enquiry emails and messages: usually up to 12 months after our last contact, unless a longer clinical or administrative need is agreed
- Newsletter or waitlist data: until you unsubscribe, then removed from the active list
- Technical logs: according to the hosting provider’s normal retention
Clinical records created through the clinic are retained under the clinic’s medical record policies, not this website notice.
Your rights (UK GDPR)
You may ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, object to certain processing, or request data portability where applicable. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw consent at any time.
