I am Dr Amy Shacaluga, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and Lifestyle Medicine Physician. This website (www.dramyshacaluga.co.uk) provides information about my private women's health practice and educational content.

What data I collect

Depending on how you contact me, I may collect:

  • Name and contact details (email, phone)
  • Organisation and enquiry details, for industry messages
  • Newsletter email address, if you subscribe
  • Technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, where hosting or analytics tools are used

I do not ask you to send sensitive medical details through general website forms. If you choose to include health information in a message, I will treat it confidentially and only use it to respond appropriately.

Why I use your data (lawful bases)

  • To respond to enquiries and provide information you requested (legitimate interests / steps prior to a contract)

How long I keep data

  • Enquiry emails and messages: usually up to 12 months after our last contact, unless a longer clinical or administrative need is agreed
  • Newsletter or waitlist data: until you unsubscribe, then removed from the active list
  • Technical logs: according to the hosting provider’s normal retention

Clinical records created through the clinic are retained under the clinic’s medical record policies, not this website notice.

Your rights (UK GDPR)

You may ask to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal data, object to certain processing, or request data portability where applicable. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw consent at any time.
